Free meals program for children 18 and under

The Wakefield School District is getting the word out that free meals – breakfast and lunch – are available to all children aged 18 and under. Beginning on Monday, April 6, these meals will be available for pickup Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. from the front entrance of the Paul School on Taylor Way, and from the East Wakefield Fire Station on Sanborn Road. On Mondays, families will receive breakfast and lunch for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesdays, families will get both Wednesday and Thursday breakfast and lunch, and on Friday they will receive both meals for that day.  Families who are experiencing hardship in accessing food are invited to email Deb Wilson at the Paul School at There is no cost to participate in this food program, sponsored by the USDA, and no enrollment is required.

In accordance with Governor Sununu’s stay-at-home order and extension of remote learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SAU 101 office at 76 Taylor Way, and the Paul School office, 60 Taylor Way, will be closed to the public through Friday, May 1, 2020. Phone calls to the school and SAU will be rerouted to school and SAU administrative staff working from home during regular business hours. Administrators, teachers and support staff can also be reached via email; see the contacts listing under the For Families and SAU links above.
