Assistant Superintendent, Chief Education Officer

I have worked, serving the students of the Wakefield School District for almost ten years in multiple roles, and this year I have the privilege of working with our entire educational community.  I will work diligently to be the best that we can be.

Meeting the needs of students has been my passion and I have been doing this work for 39 years.  Because of this passion, I will always put what’s best for our children at the center of my decisions. With your help and support, my goal is to ensure that every student thrives in our school environment.  I believe when we focus on our students’ strengths, we can personalize their learning and help each and every student develop a passion for learning.

In my 39 years of experience, I have been an administrator for over the past 20 years, as a principal of a K-6 school for 11 years and spending the last 12 years working in the Central Office.  My education is broad, and it will serve me well in this position. I have a Master of Education in Leadership from Antioch University; a Master of Special Education from the University of New Hampshire, and most recently, I received an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Trauma Informed Practice and Policy, also through the University of New Hampshire.

On the personal side, I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.  If you visit me in my office, you will see pictures throughout, of my grandchildren, who are a most precious part of my life!   My husband and I spend much of our time with our grandchildren, and we are fortunate to have very strong family connections.   Much of what drives me in education today, are these grandchildren, who like all children, deserve the best in education for their future. We are in a new era of education since our students have returned to school post covid, and we must re-visit our educational practices to engage all students in learning.

I enjoy skiing with my family in the wintertime, and gardening and boating during the summer months. My husband and I spend much of our spare time during the summer at the coast of Maine, enjoying the salt air and ocean views!

Communication is key to building a successful school community and will be a strong focus in our school this year.  I want to encourage you to reach out to me when needed. My door is always open, and with your feedback, we can move mountains at our school.  Please reach out if you would like to meet with me and provide me with your thoughts on ways in which we can improve the education of our students of the Wakefield School District.  I am excited for the start of the 2022-2023 school year!

My Best!

Anne L. Kebler
